You make a good point. While traditional education provides us with essential skills and knowledge, it does not always cover all the areas that we need to succeed in life. Here are some reasons why these subjects are not always taught in school:
Limited Curriculum: Schools have limited resources and time to teach everything. Therefore, they focus on core subjects such as math, science, and English, which are seen as essential for academic success.
Outdated Curriculum: School curriculums can also be slow to change, and some of the subjects you mentioned may not have been considered important in the past. However, the world is changing rapidly, and these skills are becoming increasingly necessary for success in today's economy.
The role of parents and community: Many of the skills you mentioned are typically taught by parents or the community, rather than in a classroom setting. For example, personal finance and mental health are often addressed in the home, while networking and relationship-building are typically learned through extracurricular activities or community involvement.
That being said, some schools are beginning to incorporate some of these subjects into their curriculums, and there are many resources available outside of school to learn these skills. You can take online courses, attend workshops, read books or articles, or seek out mentors or advisors to help you develop these important life skills.
