Differentials: Poetry, Poetics, Pedagogy
One of the most prominent critics of modern American poetry writing is Marjorie Perloff. Many attribute her work with igniting and sustaining new critical interest in major modernist poets like Yeats, Pound, Eliot, and Williams as well as in the postwar American poetic innovation movement that includes the Black Mountain poets, the New York School, concrete poetry, and the Language Poets of the 1980s and 1990s.
