Nostromo A Tale of the Seaboard
Joseph Conrad's novel Nostromo: A Tale of the Seaboard was published in 1904 and is set in the mythical South American nation of "Costaguana." It was initially serialised in T.P.'s Weekly and released in monthly instalments.
Nostromo was named 47th on the Modern Library's list of the 100 finest English-language novels of the twentieth century in 1998. It is widely recognised as one of Conrad's finest works of long fiction, with F. Scott Fitzgerald once saying, "I'd rather have written Nostromo than any other novel."
